Adhesion. Adhesion shall conform to type I, class 2 of MIL-DTL-43719.
QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS:
Reflectivity. Reflectivity shall be determined in accordance with ASTM D4956.
PACKAGING
Markers or marker sets shall be packaged as follows:
Basic markers. Basic markers of one size only shall be furnished in unit packs of 100 each.
Marker sets. Marker sets shall be furnished in unit packs containing 10 each of the
appropriate size numerals, specific hazard symbols and basic markers.
Intended use. Hazardous material symbol markers described herein are for use in
connection with the National Fire Protection Association Standard (NFPA) 704M.
Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following in addition to the
ordering data listed in the general specification:
(a)
Size of basic marker, numerals and specific hazard symbols required.
(b)
If black or white numerals are required.
(c)
If basic markers only are required.
(d)
If marker sets are required.
Changes from previous issue. Marginal notations are not used in this revision to identify
changes with respect to the previous issue due to the extent of the changes.
